What to Expect From Your First IV Drip
A little nervous about your first infusion? Here's exactly what happens, from arrival to aftercare, so you can relax and enjoy it.

If you've booked your first IV drip, a few nerves are completely natural — especially if you're not a fan of needles. The good news is that once you know what happens, most of that apprehension disappears. Here's a step-by-step walk through your appointment.
Before you arrive
There's very little you need to do, but we do recommend eating something beforehand and drinking a glass or two of water. Arriving well-fed and lightly hydrated makes the whole experience more comfortable.
Your health check
Every first visit begins with a short, private consultation. A qualified professional reviews your health history, discusses your goals and answers your questions. This is where we confirm the drip is safe and suitable, and help you choose the right blend if you're unsure.
The infusion itself
You'll settle into a comfortable chair — at our clinic or in your own home. A small cannula is placed, usually in the arm, and your drip begins. The needle is only a brief moment; after that, there's nothing to feel but relaxation.
- Most infusions take around 30 to 60 minutes
- You can read, work, scroll or simply rest
- A trained professional stays close throughout
- Aftercare advice is included so you get the most from your visit
How you'll feel afterwards
Many clients feel refreshed almost immediately, while the fuller benefits build over the following days. It's sensible to keep hydrated and take the rest of the day at a gentle pace.
Aftercare and how often to return
We'll suggest how frequently a drip might help based on your goals — for some that's a one-off boost, for others a regular part of their routine. There's never any pressure, just honest advice.
